Excited to announce that I'm doing something I've never done before with my art!

My recent DRACULA Poster design ended up doing some numbers here on NG and even got Frontpaged (Thanks y'all!) but it also ended up being a pretty big hit in my local community as well, so I have decided to create a Limited Run of the poster design! The run consists of 100 11×17 high-quality prints done locally and are Hand Numbered individually.

I'll be debuting them tomorrow at a huge, local arts festival and then adding them to my Facebook Page Store.

I've never thought to do a limited run with any of my artwork and maybe 100 prints is a bit of a reach, but here's hoping it works out, ya know?

I'm super excited, I'll be having my second, solo art show next month! A local artist hub in my city reached out to me back in December and asked if I was interested in showing my work in one of the galleries they maintained, so I said hell yeah. Right after that, one of the local art councils opened up applications to a National Endowment for the Arts Grant and I was able to submit and get funded $1,500 towards my show.

There have been some ups and downs of getting the kinks worked out (the venue literally closed down) but now its all set and even the towns DDA office is involved in making it happen!

I've titled the show "Point & Click: The Visual of Digital" and it will be a canvas-printed display of my art available to view over the course of 3 months. I'm calling it that because there still exists a stigma in the modern world of art surrounding digital art and illustration, viewing work done digitally as lesser than those done traditionally, and I like to pushback against that shit. Watching an old lady in real time be flabbergasted that my piece at a show was done digitally and those weren't physical brush strokes was pretty great.

Anyways, I'm pretty damn pumped for this show and the Opening Reception will be Friday, September 2nd from 5:30pm - 7:30pm! Wish me luck in selling my work!

I need the stranger validation and dopamine injection

As a small time Freelance Graphic Designer, I get a lot less "design my original character" or "design my cover for my game/book/etc" and more "design my logo" and "design a t-shirt for my group/event", because honestly that's what I've marketed myself towards more.

But I always run into the same issue on sites like this where, with that being a majority of my time and work, what's worth posting on here or interesting to other users on the site? It's hard to share your work as an artist and grow when a lot of it is very "advertisement" based
